North Alabama shuts out Shorter on homecoming

FLORENCE, Ala. ( - The tenth ranked University of North Alabama Lions rolled to a 31-0 halftime lead and went to a 45-0 win over the Shorter Hawks at Braly Municipal Stadium.

With the win, UNA is now 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the Gulf South Conference. Shorter falls to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the GSC.

The win was UNA's 12th consecutive Homecoming win and kept the Lions all-time record against Shorter perfect at 5-0.

North Alabama finished the game with 484 total yards to just 159 for the Hawks. The Lions passed for 312 yards and rushed for 172. Shorter was held to 29 rushing yards on 29 carries and threw for 130 yards.
