Lee Lott Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

DECATUR, Ala. – Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce its 7th Annual Lee Lott Power of Pink Walk will be Sunday, October 23 at Founder`s Park Amphitheatre.

Activities will begin at 12 noon with the Walk starting at 2 p.m.

There will again be children`s activities, music entertainment, food vendors and non-food vendors. This year`s one-mile walk for breast cancer awareness will be in honor of Deb Blackmon, a long-time Decatur Morgan Hospital employee who has supported and volunteered since the first Power of Pink event in 2010.

Several years ago Deb was diagnosed with breast cancer. Deb is now cancer free and a breast cancer survivor.

The proceeds of this event will benefit Decatur Morgan Hospital breast health services and cancer programs. There will be awards given to the Top Fundraising Team and the Lee Lott Team Spirit Award.

Registration is $20 ($30 on the day of the event) and all participants will receive a 2016 Power of Pink Walk t-shirt. The one-mile walk will begin from Founders Park Amphitheater and proceed down Bank Street, to Lee Street, to Oak Street, to Church Street and then return to the amphitheater.
