HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Even though Christmas still is about two months away, it's on the minds of those at Christmas Charities Year Round.

Operation Believe is a program that matches donor families with other families needing assistance around Christmas time. This program is what started Christmas Charities Year Round and has been operating for 67 years.

"We believe here at Christmas Charities Year Round that we're all just one incident away from needing the services that we provide here to those that are in need," said Cassie Scott, Executive Director at Christmas Charities Year Round.

Each child, 18-years and under, will wake up to a gift bag of new and gently used toys on Christmas morning. Scott says right now is critical for both donor families and those in need to visit their office.

"We'll go through the end of this month, end of October and I'll have families right now that are ready to be adopted and it gives them plenty of time to get those donations back into us by the first of December," said Scott.

Christmas Charities believes we too, may be in a tough situation one day and that's why they help.

"It kind of breaks your heart," said Scott. "They are our families that are all in our community, they're sitting beside our kids at school, they're our neighbors, they're our church family members."
