Marshall County mom charged after police say newborn tests positive for meth

BOAZ, Ala. — A mother is in trouble with the law after police in Boaz say both she and her newborn baby tested positive for methamphetamine.

Twenty-year-old Frances Lynn Crafton of Albertville is now charged with chemical endangerment.

Police arrested Crafton on Sunday at Marshall Medical Center South.

Crafton is in the Marshall County Jail on $300,000 bond.

The Marshall County Department of Human Resources is also involved in the investigation.
