Man flown to UAB after being burned at Polaris plant

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A man suffered severe burns at the Polaris plant on Monday morning. HEMSI officials say paramedics were called to the scene at about 7:30 am.

HEMSI Chief Operations Officer says the man had severe burns to his upper body.

The man was flown from the scene to the burn centerĀ at UAB.

Polaris issued this statement in response to the incident:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the employee who was injured this morning while working at our Huntsville facility. Polaris is committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees, and we are investigating the details of the incident.
