‘Green Tie Bash’ on Oct. 13 to benefit Nexus Energy Center and honor local Champions of Energy

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Nexus Energy Center in north Alabama helps you learn how to conserve energy in your home.  Nexus is a non-profit organization headquartered in Huntsville, but serves the entire state of Alabama.  Its office is located on the campus of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

It has a fundraiser coming up, the Green Tie Bash. The event is Thursday, October 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Meadowcreek Farms, located at 9306 Pulaski Pike in Toney. Buy tickets at nexusenergycenter.org/greentiebash or call (256) 426-6941.

Enjoy a wonderful night of dinner, drinks and silent auction, all while honoring the 2016 Champions of Energy. These businesses and individuals are shining examples of how you can save energy while still thriving in our community.

You can also learn about Nexus' compelling journey to create successful energy efficiency programs including the Comfort Project which reaches in the homes of those that need our help the most.

This year's silent auction items include a rare Apollo mission signed art piece, a Star Wars historic signed art piece and signed artwork from The Eagles.

Enjoy the breathtaking views at Meadowcreek Farms while enjoying great food and local beer provided by Old Black Bear.
