Florence voters elect a new mayor; Steve Holt wins over incumbent Mickey Haddock

FLORENCE, Ala. — Steve Holt won the mayoral runoff race in Florence.

The two candidates in the runoff were incumbent Mayor Mickey Haddock and former Shoals Chamber of Commerce President Steve Holt.

Steve Holt won by 54 percent with 2,788 votes. Mayor Haddock got 2,384 votes.

In the August municipal election, Mayor Haddock got 2,647 votes. Holt came in second among the field of five with just more than 16 hundred.
