FLORENCE, Ala. ( - For the third time in the first four weeks of this 2016 football season, the University of North Alabama will be facing a nationally ranked opponent. This time it is third ranked West Georgia, coached by former UNA All-American and Harlon Hill Trophy winner Will Hall, that will be coming to Braly Stadium.
UNA is now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the Gulf South Conference, coming off a 45-7 road win at West Alabama. West Georgia is 4-0 overall, 1-0 in the GSC and coming off a narrow 27-23 road win at Albany State.
This contest should go a long way toward determing the eventual 2016 Gulf South Conference champion, as the UNA Lions look to win an unprecendented fourth straight league title under Bobby Wallace.
In his third season at West Georgia, Hall has led the Wolves to the semifinals of the Division II Playoffs each of the last two seasons.
