ARAB, Ala. — Arab Police officers found a nine foot tall marijuana plant in a yard while out on a call.
The Arab Police Department says officers responded to a domestic violence call at a home on Lee Ann Lane in Arab.
Arab Police Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says while the officers were there they smelled marijuana.
Washburn says after searching, the officers found a nine foot tall marijuana plant growing in the yard next door.
The department is obtaining an arrest warrant, and the owner of the home is expected to face charges.
Washburn says officers have uncovered large marijuana plants in the past, but this is the tallest plant the department has seen.
