Tennessee Titans place offensive lineman on injured reserve

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (al.com) - Tennessee Titans right guard Chance Warmack will have surgery on his injured right hand and might miss the rest of the season, coach Mike Mularkey said on Wednesday.

Warmack suffered a torn tendon in the middle finger of his right hand while warming up on Sunday for the Titans' game against the Detroit Lions. The former Alabama All-American played every offensive snap in Tennessee's 16-15 victory despite the injury.

But at his Monday press conference, Mularkey said a decision would have to be made on whether Warmack could play with the injury or if it would have to be surgically repaired before he could play again.
