Huntsville man charged with robbery; second robber still on the run

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Huntsville Police Department Robbery Investigation Unit, responded to a call on University Drive at Bojangles around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday concerning a robbery in progress. Two men entered the restaurant at gunpoint and demanded money.

During the investigation, police K-9 officers quickly located 19-year-old Davian Rice hiding in bushes near a vacant building on Independence Drive after he ran from the scene.

Authorities later discovered a second subject was involved. The second person is described as a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 6 ft tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt during the time of the crime.

Rice was charged with robbery.

Davian Rice is now in Madison County Jail.
