MADISON COUNTY, Ala. - Our friends at the United Way of Huntsville Madison County and its partner organizations spend a few moments with us to share information about services or upcoming community events every Monday at noon.

They are taking a rare day off on this Labor Day, but they did want to make sure you are aware of program available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The program is called 211 and is brought to you by a team effort from the United Way and Crisis Services of North Alabama.

Organizers say anyone in need of assistance can simply call the number 211 for help.

The service provides assistance with such things as physical or mental health services, employment and family support, and people in need of food, shelter, or clothing.

Just call 211 and a specialist will listen to your specific need and provide a list of agencies that may be able to help.
