MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Two people died over the weekend in Muscle Shoals after a wreck that happened Saturday night.  Muscle Shoals officers describe it as one of the worst collisions they have ever seen.

The wreck happened around 7:45 Saturday night on Wilson Dam Road.

Investigators say a car drove into on-coming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle. Charles Ingram, 50, and Tammy Zills Smith, 56, died in the wreck.

Charles Ingram was a beloved Tuscumbia businessman and owner of CMI Body Shop on Main Street.

Services for Mr. Ingram will be held at Bethel Colbert Missionary Baptist Church in Leighton on September 1st at 11 a.m.
