Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor found not guilty of July DUI charge
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor has been found not guilty of a DUI, according to TideSports.com.
The ruling came Tuesday from a Tuscaloosa Municipal Judge. On July 17, Taylor was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident at an apartment complex in Tuscaloosa.
Taylor was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, but the judge hasn’t ruled on that matter yet.
Taylor’s attorney, Jason Neff, said he is pleased with the verdict.
“I hope Mr. Taylor will have an opportunity to move forward with his football career,” Neff told TideSports.com.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban suspended Taylor after the July incident. No word yet, if his status will change.
