LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. - A prayer vigil is scheduled this evening for a community in shock about a wreck that claimed three lives late Sunday night.

Alabama State Troopers say three people died and two others were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck that happened just before midnight on Reid Road in Limestone County.

Justin Lee Allred, 19, of Athens and Michael Swanner, 16 both died.  Investigators say the Chevrolet Impala Allred was driving collided head-on with a 2008 Chevrolet driven by an  unidentified driver. Troopers on the scene say Allred and his passenger weren't wearing seat belts. Both were taken to area hospitals where they later died.

The unidentified driver and two passengers in the other vehicle were transported to area hospitals.  One of those passengers later died. WHNT News 19 has learned he was Richie Sanchez-Hernandez, a 11-year-old who attended Tanner School.

Reid Road was blocked for about three hours while Alabama State Troopers investigated the wreck and cleared the scene.  It has since reopened.

The family has set up a gofundme account to raise money for a funeral for Justin Allred.  Michael Swanner's family has also set up a gofundme account.  Friends of Richie Sanchez-Hernandez have also set up a gofundme account.

A prayer vigil for the victims was held Monday, August 29 at 7 p.m. at Blackburn Road Baptist Church.
