DECATUR,  Ala. –  On Sunday, police responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Clover Avenue.  Police were able to obtain a description of the two suspects believed to be linked to the shooting, and the vehicles they were in.

Officers located their vehicles near Danville Road and Eight Street.  That’s where Eric Dewayne Rogers and his mother Leasie  Ann Hawkins were arrested.

Police say Rogers used a pistol to beat one person and shoot another, and then left the scene with his mother.  Authorities believe Rogers was in a fight with several different people.

Rogers is charged with two counts of second-degree assault. No bond has been set for him.  Hawkins is charged with one count of second-degree assault with a $2,500 bond.
