Retired teacher Pam Hill wins race for Huntsville Board of Education District 5

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Retired teacher Pam Hill won her race for Huntsville Board of Education District 5 on Tuesday, beating opponent Carlos Mathews.

With 89% of precincts reporting, Hill had 56% of the vote, or 1,570 votes, to Mathews’ 44%, or 1,226 votes.

Hill will replace Mike Culbreath in the District 5 seat. He did not seek re-election.
