HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - It is the 19th year for the Space and Missile Defense Symposium at the Von Braun Center. A literal who's who of the industry can be found in the halls, from the tradition rich giants to the smaller companies that are still major players.
"They are all right here," said Ronnie Chronister from Dynetics, "and that's the power of this, that they are all right here. We have international partners here, industry partners, government partners. We have academia that is here as well."
It is a chance for everyone to get on the same page with threats, needs, goals, and possibilities. Many attendees hear the guest speakers and tour the exhibit floor located in the VBC South Hall, which is open to the public.
"A lot of the real work gets done in here," says Chronister. "Because we network and we talk to our government customers and align with what industry is doing with their needs are, and that has a very much direct impact on the war fighter."
The South Hall exhibit floor is where the action is and a prime example of what has to happen in the 21st Century.
"We know in the space and missile defense world, that we have to keep up from a technology perspective," saysChronister.
The Space and Missile Defense Symposium will be at the VBC South Hall through Thursday and the public is invited.
In order to register at the event, you will need to bring a photo ID.
