HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --  Orbit's Shuttle Service has officially launched. Are you on board?

Planning a family vacation can be hard, especially when it comes to how you're going to get there, and looking for any way you can save money. If you're trying to find a less expensive flight, it's possible you'll have to fly out of Nashville or Birmingham. But, factor in gas and parking fees, and that option can add up.

One new business knows it can make things easier. Orbit's Shuttle Service launched Thursday, and owner Cecilio Kentish Jr. looks forward to offering Huntsville an easier way to travel.

"It is a daily service, we will be going to Nashville every day of the week, 365 days a year. But Birmingham is reduced to a three day schedule, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, until we find that people want to go there more, and then we'll open up more lanes to go down there," Kentish said.

Orbit's has eight shuttles that can hold up to 14 people. Kentish said he started Orbit's because of the demand of travelers not wanting to fly out of Huntsville.

"First, the average price of a ticket here locally is about $180 more than anywhere else in the country. Second, parking fees," he said.

Kentish said he also thinks people will enjoy the option to sit back and let someone else do the driving for them. For those interested, going online might be your best bet.

"The best way to get on it is to go online and book your service there, also there you can get a schedule and see when you need to be picked up, when you're going to arrive at the airport and when we depart that airport to return back home," Kentish said.

Because it just launched, Orbit's will have a reduced shuttle service to start out with. But, as they move forward they will have six shuttles that leave everyday from here to Nashville, and three to Birmingham.

Thursday at Orbit's main office in the 2600 block of North Memorial Parkway, a launch party was hosted by owners C.J. and Tiffany Kentish. The very first shuttle ride will be on Monday, August 15, with Nashville as the destination.
