Arab Police: Man held convenience store cashier at gunpoint, stole $400

ARAB, Ala. – Arab Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a convenience store on U.S. Highway 231.

Arab Police Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says Thursday night at 9:00, a man came into a Jet Pep store wearing a mask and gloves. Washburn says the man robbed the cashier at gunpoint.

Police say the man left with $400. Washburn says the cashier wasn’t hurt. It’s unclear if there were customers in the store at the time.

Arab Police are actively looking for this person. Investigators are looking into the possibility of surveillance video to try to get a better look at the man.
