UPDATE: Law enforcement officers capture suspect in double murder, kidnapping in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says they have a man in custody that is suspected in the murder of two people and the kidnapping of his estranged wife, according to CBS affiliate WIAT.

The apprehension of 30-year-old Jeffrey Wilcox, Jr. of Calhoun County came after U.S. Marshals announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The victim, Chasdy Wilcox is safe and ‘physically okay’ according to family members.
