HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - In 2009, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology launched its BioTrain program.
The nine-week internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to work in every area of the institute - from the research labs to the communications department.
Since then, several interns have gone on to work for HudsonAlpha.
Thirty-one students took part in the 2016 program. On Friday, they gave presentations on their work to HudsonAlpha employees.
All the students are either Alabama residents or attend Alabama universities or colleges, a requirement of consideration in BioTrain.
