Scottsboro Police jail employee facing theft and evidence tampering charges

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. – A jailer at Scottsboro City Jail is now on the other side of the jail cell. 23-year-old David Scott Stewart is facing theft and tampering with physical evidence charges.

Scottboro Police say they are handling the investigation into Stewart, but could not go into specifics about the case.

Stewart has resigned from his position and is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $3,000 bond.
