Huntsville Humane Society gets $3,000 donation from Curse Media
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Curse Media, a company with local roots, is very familiar with the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. President Donovan Duncan said, when they saw a chance to help out, they jumped on it.
He said, “We saw a real good opportunity. We were having an event in L.A. where we had animals there, and we did a Twitter campaign where we said, ‘Hey every time someone hashtags this, we’re gonna donate some money,’ and ended up raising $3,000.”
That one hashtag, #CurseParty, has made all the difference. Humane Society CEO Jill Gardner said companies like Curse Media make great partners. Gardner thinks this funding helps bring awareness, and that’s just what they need at this time.
She said, “We have tons of kittens, so we’ve had a need for a lot of extra kitten care this summer.”
Gardner said this money helps support all the activities that go into getting these animals ready for their forever homes.
