HOOVER, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference begins Monday, July 11th in Birmingham and will give fans a taste of what’s to come from their favorite teams.

WHNT News 19 will have a crew at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover all week, for detailed reports on each team’s presentation.

Media Days gives fans a chance to hear from coaches, players and even the SEC Commissioner.

One annual favorite is the “prediction.” According to SEC Sports, “Only five times since 1992 has the SEC Media Days predicted champion proceeded to win the SEC Championship, with Alabama being the last in 2014.”

The 2015 season was also a historic one for the SEC.

The league won its eighth national championship in the last 10 years and went 9-2 in the postseason.
