Your Photos: Lightning captured around the Tennessee Valley

Friday brought a bit of much-needed rain to the Valley overnight.  Along with that rain came nature’s light show and WHNT News 19’s viewers broke out the cameras to record the beautiful display.

Nearly 2,400 lightning strikes were detected Friday night at 10 p.m., and many of you whipped out your cameras and snapped breathtaking photos of the electric sky.

Viewers emailed photos as well as sharing them to the WHNT News 19 Facebook and Twitter pages. We even received some through the WHNT News 19 and Live Alert 19 apps. You can also submit your photos directly to WHNT.com by using the “Submit your Photo” link at the bottom of the article.
