MADISON, Ala. – Madison Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Madison Blvd. at Wall Triana. The westbound lanes have been reduced to one lane.

Specifically, police say the right turn lane from Madison Blvd. to the I-565 overpass of Wall Triana Highway is closed.

Officers first reported a fuel spill in the area. But now, crews believe the mess to be grease trap oil from restaurants spilled from a truck.

Crews on the scene say they received a call that of slick roads. They are working to get the area cleaned up as quickly as possible.

There is no word on when the other lanes will open back up to traffic.
