MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – Just after 10 pm Monday night, Morgan County Volunteer Firefighters had their hands full with a brush fire. They suspect it was started by fireworks.

Crews were called to the dead end of Bell Point Road on top of Brindlee Mountain.

When firefighters arrived, they found about 2 acres on fire.

Volunteers from Lacey’s Springs, Cotaco and Brindlee Mountain worked into the early morning hours to tame the flames.

No structures were in danger from the fire.
