Police make arrest in connection to weekend shooting at Madison apartment complex

MADISON, Ala. – Madison Police have arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder for a shooting that happened at an apartment complex on Flagstone Drive Sunday.

Lawrence Oneal Beasley, 29, of Huntsville, is charged with attempted murder. Police said it started around 11 p.m. June 26 when police responded to a shots-fired call. There, police found that a person inside a vehicle had been shot at numerous times, though, the person was unharmed.

Police say they got an arrest warrant for Beasley following the shooting. He was arrested in Huntsville Thursday night and turned over to Madison Police.

Beasley was booked in the Madison County Jail on a $60,000 bond. Police say the case is still under investigation and more charges are expected.
