UPDATE: The National Weather Service in Huntsville has expired the heat advisory that was in effect for the Tennessee Valley this weekend.

...HEAT ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

THE HEAT ADVISORY WHICH WAS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF NORTH ALABAMA ALONG
WITH LINCOLN...MOORE AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 9 PM. MANY LOCATIONS ACROSS
THE CENTRAL TENNESSEE VALLEY EXPERIENCED SOME MUCH NEEDED RAINFALL
EARLIER THIS EVENING WHICH HELPED ALLEVIATE SOME OF THE UNSEASONABLY
HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS. SOME ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED HEADING
INTO THE NEW WEEK...ALONG WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES AND
HUMIDITY LEVELS. THEREFORE...THE HEAT ADVISORY WAS ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.
TEMPERATURES DURING THE AFTERNOON SUNDAY MAY STILL REACH THE LOWER TO
MID 90S...WITH HEAT INDICES NEAR 100 DEGREES FOR PERHAPS AN HOUR OR
TWO AND CAUTION IS STILL ADVISED WITH ANY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES.
