Albertville Police make arrest in deadly shooting, say man shot his brother

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – Albertville Police investigators say they have arrested a man accused of shooting and killing his brother. The shooting happened Wednesday night on Meadowbrook Drive.

Officers arrived at the home to find Brian Comer Hilley, 43, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. The man’s brother, Jerry Keith Hilley, 57, was taken into custody at the scene. They also found a shotgun believed to be the weapon used.

Investigators believe an argument between the brothers led up to the shooting. There were other family members at the home at the time of the shooting. Detectives were called in to interview the family.

At this time, Jerry Hilley is in the Albertville City Jail awaiting formal charges in the case. There were no other injuries reported at the scene.
