Police investigate shooting in northwest Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police are on the scene of a shooting investigation Wednesday night.

Police are on the scene near the intersection of Beard Street and Tundra Court, near the area of University Drive just west of Memorial Parkway.

Police on the scene said it started around 9:30 p.m. when a car got into a minor traffic accident with another at the intersection. That’s when a person in the car that was hit got out of the vehicle and started shooting, police said. One victim was shot several times and is in serious condition at the hospital.

Police are searching the scene with a K-9 unit going door to door trying to find the shooter.
