Four Fire & Rescue units called to apartment fire on Highridge Dr. in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a house fire on Highridge Dr. Monday afternoon.

Fire officials say four fire units were called to an apartment complex on 3927 Highridge Dr around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The fire started in the kitchen of an upstairs unit, fire officials on the scene said, but no one was home at the time. That unit suffered some fire, smoke, and water damage, but isn’t being written off as a total loss.

A downstairs unit suffered some minor water damage, but otherwise, no other units were affected.

The Red Cross is responding to the scene to assist with any residents who need help.
