Water distribution moved to area churches

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - County emergency officials hope to continue bringing in pallets of water to supply residents as concerns over contamination remain.

Morgan County Emergency Management Agency Director Eddie Hicks tells WHNT News 19 it is being moved to area churches that will serve as distribution/pick-up points for residents in their area.

The water is being held at the United Methodist Council on Relief (UMCOR) disaster warehouse in Decatur, and churches are picking up cases of water as necessary.

Jason Greene of Crossroads Community Church in Lawrence County will be distributing starting at 6 pm Wednesday, with the intent of continuing through Friday.

Morgan County EMA released the following list of churches:
