Blue Angels pilot laid to rest in Colorado

DURANGO, Colo. (AP) – A funeral procession is underway in Colorado for a Blue Angels pilot who was killed in a crash while practicing for an airshow.

People waved flags and others stood at attention as the body the body of 32-year-old Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss headed for a private burial ceremony in Durango on Saturday.

The ceremony will include a flyover by the Checkerboards, Kuss’ unit before joining the Blue Angels.

Kuss was killed while practicing for an airshow near Nashville, Tennessee, on June 2.

Kuss is survived by his wife and two young children.
