Auburn Advances to Women’s College World Series Championship Game

OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok. (AL.com)- Auburn’s softball team will play for the 2016 national championship.

The Tigers punched their ticket to the Women’s College World Series Championship Sunday night with a dramatic 8-7 win over Florida State in the semifinals.

A trio of home runs from Carlee Wallace, Jade Rhodes and Kasey Cooper gave Auburn a 7-3 lead over FSU through four innings. The Seminoles rallied with a three-run homer in the top of the seventh from Cali Harrod to tie the game.
