UPDATE: Missing hikers found safe in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the hikers missing since Tuesday have been found.  All are safe.

Deputies understand some hikers were in the gorge below Pisgah late Tuesday night when they got lost.

Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen says all the hikers are out safe, and there are no serious injuries.

Members of the rescue squad and fire department started the search Tuesday, but ended up calling off the search until daylight Wednesday.
