MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested two men allegedly involved in a crime spree that started in Huntsville and ended in Lacey’s Spring.

Sheriff Ana Franklin reports that Deputies were conducting a Safety check-point on HWY 231 near Old River Road when they made contact with 36-year-old James Erwin and 22-year-old Jimmy Mansel, both from Arab.

With the assistance of ALEA Narcotics Agents, the Task Force also located a bag of Methamphetamine under the hood of the vehicle.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and Possession.

Erwin is in custody on a $7,800 bond, Mansel’s bond is set at $8,100.

Both suspects are facing pending Robbery charges with the Huntsville Police Department as well.
