Morgan County Drug Task Force arrest 6 on various drug charges

Morgan County, Ala. - Morgan County Drug Task Force agents, working with the ALEA Narcotics Unit, arrested 5 people at a Decatur home Wednesday.  They face charges ranging from drug possession, intent to distribute, tampering with physical evidence, or other charges.

Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin says investigators served an arrest warrant for James Dale McCormick at 3210 Modaus Road, Lot 40, in Decatur.  They found several people at the home, and saw drug paraphernalia and items they believed to be drugs in the home, and were able to get a search warrant.  As a result of the warrant, agents found 20 grams of "ICE" Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and 2 stolen guns.  They also seized $7,500 and 2 vehicles.

Agents arrested:  Joel Teague, James Dakota McCormick, Dustin Carter, Kelly Miller, and Nancy Kirby, along with James McCormick on the original arrest warrant.

Agents also served a search warrant at a Hartselle home, on New Center Road.  They found drug paraphernalia there, and arrested Kevin Kent.
