Huntsville man charged with four counts of robbery

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- 27 year old James Dewayne Briggs has been charged with four counts of 1st degree robbery.

The robbery happened Wednesday night around 11 p.m. on Posey Street.

Huntsville Police say Briggs, armed with a handgun, robbed four men outside a house before leaving the scene. A short time later, police patrolling the area say they spotted Briggs who matched the description. He was detained by officers and later charged with robbery.

All of the victim’s property as well as the weapon used in the crime were recovered.
