Huntsville, Ala. – Two people, an adult and a child, are have to find a new place to call home.  Flames ripped through their Petty Lane home around 3:00 Friday morning.

A Madison County volunteer firefighter saw smoke from Highway 72, and investigated. Flames were coming from the home when firefighters arrive. They were so hot, they melted the siding on a neighbor’s home.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire.  Unfortunately the house is a total loss.

It’s not yet clear what caused the fire, which is under investigation.
