HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Heart of the Valley YMCA is preparing for a big event on Monday, May 16 and you're invited to be part of it.  The annual YMCA Tee Up For Kids Golf Tournament will be held that day at The Ledges Country Club.

The tournament is in its seventh year.  Check-in and lunch begins at 11 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.  The start time allows players to take care of business at the office in the morning and then enjoy fun and fellowship on the course.  The Mediterranean lunch will be catered by Taziki's.

Money raised at the tournament will help pay for preschool tuition assistance needed by 90% of the 229 families served at three centers in northwest, downtown and southeast Huntsville. The YMCA subsidizes the cost of quality, licensed preschool for households headed mostly by single parents struggling to work, go to school and raise young families.

Steven Cutter and Leo Gilliland, members of the YMCA Early Childhood Education Board of Managers, are co-chairmen of the tournament. Redstone Federal Credit Union is a Platinum Sponsor.  Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels and include recognition in YMCA branches for the year as well as team
play.  Hole sponsorships provide visibility on the course to all teams.
