Lawrence County man arrested, charged in armed robbery case

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. – Investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s office believe they have arrested the man responsible for an armed robbery. It happened Monday morning the Parkway Chevron in the East Lawrence community.

Jerry Dustin Pittman, 30, faces charges of first degree robbery, terrorist threat and theft of property.

Investigators say Pittman went into the convenience store while armed with a gun and demanded money. He reportedly left with a little over $100.

Witness reports led investigators to Pittman. He was arrested at his home shortly after 10:00 p.m. Monday. He’s being held in the Lawrence County Jail. Bond has yet to be set.
