Crews rescue paraglider stuck in tree on Keel Mountain

MADISON COUNTY – One extreme sports enthusiast is lucky to be alive after crashing into a tree Friday afternoon.

An unidentified paraglider got stuck in a tree on Keel Mountain Friday afternoon.

While rescuers were initially worried about getting to the paraglider, they were able to use a utility bucket to reach him.

A rescuer on the scene said the paraglider is “generally fine.” We’re sure he’s a more than a little shaken up and feeling lucky to be alive.
