HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – This weekend marks five years since Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church in Southwest Huntsville became All Nations Church.

The name change was intended to reflect the church’s intentional focus  on the surrounding community.

Over the decades, the neighborhood evolved from mostly engineers and their families to a largely fluid population of immigrants, students and others.

Looking back on the last five years, Pastor Larry Inman says the church has truly welcomed people from all nations and all backgrounds.

Now as the congregation looks to the future, church members want to do even more.

To that end, they’re hosting a community party on Saturday, April 23.

The event is open to everyone.

There will be live music, inflatables, a Huntsville Fire engine, a dunk tank, food trucks and more.

With the exception of food purchased from the food trucks, it is all free.

All Nations Church is located at 3614 Drake Avenue, SW in Huntsville.
