Just before 11 p.m. police were called to the scene and found 27-year-old Laricia Foster outside the home suffering from a single gunshot wound.  HEMSI paramedics rushed Foster to Huntsville Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police interviewed several witnesses and took one person into custody.  They have charged Alfonso Collier of Huntsville with murder.  They say the two were involved in a domestic dispute and Collier shot Foster.

Brookside Drive was blocked off for several hours while police spoke with witnesses and collected evidence.

Collier is being held in the Madison County Jail.
