LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. - A man died after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.  The driver was arrested for leaving the scene, authorities say.

Alabama State Troopers say 69-year-old Charles Wayne Gates of Ardmore was hit on Alabama 251 four miles south of Ardmore. He died at the scene

Troopers say 53-year-old Deborah Cunningham Scott of Toney was behind the wheel of the 2014 Kia that hit Gates.  Troopers say she drove away.
