Man killed in weekend wreck in DeKalb County

DeKalb County, Ala. – State Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report a Fort Payne man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning. They have identified him at Cody LeDale Wells, 23.

Investigators say Wells died with the Ford Focus he was driving left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree. The reports shows Wells was not using a seat belt at the time of the wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened on DeKalb County 85, one mile north of Ft. Payne at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Alabama State Troopers say they will continue to investigate this wreck.
