Batson Forge Blacksmith Conference and auction is a great event for you to learn how the experts perform this craft. Burritt on the Mountain will host the conference, Thursday and Friday, April 7-8, and the Batson Forge Dedication and Auction will be Saturday, April 9th. Experts will give demonstrations, host seminars and offer classes in the art of blacksmithing.

On Saturday, from 10-3, Burritt will host a public day. Watch blacksmiths demonstrating skills all throughout the day. At 1:00 PM, there will be an auction of items, all donated by the experts and class members. Bar-B-Que will be provided by H C Blake Co. The public day is free to Burritt members and participants of the Conference, all other guests are subject to regular admission.

Cost of the Conference:

  • All Weekend:
    • Burritt Members: In advance-$40/ Onsite registration-$50
      Non-Members: In advance-$50/ Onsite registration-$60
  • For one day (Thursday or Friday):
    • Burritt Members: $25/Non-Members: $30
