HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)– A strong cold front moving in early Saturday morning will signal a change to much cooler weather in the Tennessee Valley.
After reaching the upper 60s and low 70s Friday afternoon, Saturday’s highs will be at least 10 degrees cooler. A strong northwest wind keeps a chill in the air as afternoon highs only reach the middle 50s.
Sunday will be even cooler; afternoon highs will be held to the upper 40s and low 50s.
The best chance for frost comes Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings. Monday should be the coldest morning, with many communities dropping to near or just below freezing. A few places north and east of Huntsville may even touch the upper 20s for a brief time.
Following the brief period of cooler weather, we see temperatures getting back into the 70s by the middle of next week. Our next best chance of widespread, significant rain comes late next week.
